Desperate Congress using political gimmicks to stay relevant: Gaurav Gupta
2/10/2025 10:14:33 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 10: Gaurav Gupta, BJP Spokesperson, J&K, strongly criticized the J&K Congress President for resorting to political gimmicks to stay relevant, dismissing its stance on the restoration of statehood as misleading rhetoric.
In a press release issued here today, the BJP Spokesperson stated that the Congress has no moral right to raise this issue. He lambasted the party for promoting only dynastic politics in the country and failing to work for the welfare of the people of Jammu and Kashmir during its decades-long rule.
The BJP Spokesperson accused the Congress of giving step-motherly treatment to the people of Jammu and questioned its track record in addressing their concerns. He asserted that for more than 60 years, several communities in J&K were denied their fundamental rights under Congress rule. Many were even deprived of basic democratic privileges, including voting rights, while their children suffered due to lack of access to educational and employment benefits.
“How will the people of Jammu and Kashmir ever forgive Congress for its sins?” he asked, emphasizing the party’s historic failures and negligence. He reiterated that Congress leaders have lost credibility among the people and are now resorting to political gimmicks to regain lost ground.
He further stated that the day is not far when Bharat will become a Congress-Mukt Bharat, as the party continues to face rejection across the country. Citing the recent Delhi Assembly elections, he pointed out how the people of the national capital have once again rejected the Congress, proving that the party has lost its relevance.
Taking a dig at J&K Congress leadership, the BJP Spokesperson advised them to focus on their own party’s dwindling fortunes rather than raising finger on that Party which has prove its mettle by bringing unprecedented development in J&K. He assured the people that the BJP-led central government is fully committed to the development of Jammu and Kashmir and that the restoration of statehood will happen at the appropriate time.
“Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have fulfilled every commitment made to the people of the country. They have repeatedly assured that statehood to J&K will be restored at an appropriate time, and the people of the Union Territory should have full faith in their leadership,” he said.
The BJP Spokesperson reaffirmed that under BJP’s leadership, J&K is witnessing unprecedented development, empowerment, and equal opportunities for all. He urged people to reject divisive politics and trust the vision of PM Modi for a stronger and more prosperous Jammu and Kashmir.
