| TADA Court dismisses application for transfer of 2 cases to Srinagar Court | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 11- TADA Court Jammu today dismissed application for transfer of two cases pending in the TADA Court of Jammu regarding kidnapping and killing of Dr. Mushir-ul-Haq then Vice Chancellor of Kashmir University and HL Khera then General Manager HMT Srinagar who were kidnapped in the month of April 1990 and thereafter killed.
The case was investigated by country’s prime investigating agency Central Bureau of Investigation and after completion of the investigation presented challan in the Court of Law in which the investigating agency mentioned 17 accused persons, of whom 11 were declared absconding and six are facing trial.
The counsel for the applicants argued in length whereas the other side has also submitted their views. The main ground of the application was regarding the appointment of Special Public Prosecutor by CBI. Court after considering the arguments of both the sides rejected the plea of the applicants and dismissed the transfer applications. JNF
