Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 11: The Jammu & Kashmir Employees Joint Consultative Committee (JKEJCC), under the leadership of Chairman Aijaz Ahmad Khan, held an important meeting on February 10 in Jammu to strengthen the organization. Key appointments were made, including Vinod Sharma as General Secretary, Jamiat Ali Agha as Provincial President (Jammu), Naresh Kumar as Media In-charge, and P.D. Singh as Provincial Secretary (Jammu).
Addressing the media at the Press Club, Jammu, Mr. Aijaz Ahmad Khan emphasized that government employees are the backbone of the administration but often have to protest for their legitimate rights. He clarified that JKEJCC does not seek confrontation but will continue to raise its voice for legal and constitutional rights.
Demands Presented to the Government:
Timely release of GP Fund bills.
Restoration of SRO 43 in its original form.
Increase in Medical Allowance (MA) and House Rent Allowance (HRA).
Reinstatement of employees under the Old Pension Scheme (OPS).
Regularization of temporary employees, FPS workers, and laborers.

Aijaz Ahmad Khan also mentioned that a senior JKEJCC leader recently met with the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, who assured that the employees' legitimate demands would be considered. However, if no action is taken by March 30, JKEJCC will have no option but to launch protests, and the government will bear full responsibility.
The press conference was attended by senior JKEJCC leaders, including Shabir Ahmad Lango, Vinod Sharma, Khalid Mehmood, Javed Ahmad Akhoon, Rehmatullah Khan, Saleem Sagar, Mohammad Shafi Rather, Peer Nisar, Munir Ahmad Khan, Riaz ur Rehman, Javed Ahmad Bhat, Naresh Kumar, Sukesh Khajuria, Khazan Singh, Bhushan Khajuria, Sandeep Sharma, Ghulam Nabi Ganai, and others.
