Indian Red Cross Society conducts blood donation camp & first-aid training

JAMMU, Feb 11: The Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), J&K, under the leadership of Hon'ble Lt. Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha (President, IRCS J&K-UT) and General Secretary Sh. Rohit Khajuria, carried out significant humanitarian activities today.
IRCS, in collaboration with Vivanta City Centre, Jammu, organized a blood donation camp to promote voluntary blood donation. Hotel staff participated enthusiastically, with medical professionals ensuring a safe donation process. Sh. Munish, HR Manager, expressed gratitude to the donors and emphasized the importance of regular blood donation. The camp was supervised by Ms. Vironica Marwah, Field Officer, IRCS J&K-UT.
An eight-day First-Aid training program concluded today for commercial vehicle drivers, volunteers, and others. Topics covered included disaster management, handling fractures, burns, bleeding emergencies, and CPR techniques. A special session on drug de-addiction was also conducted.
The training was conducted by Dr. Kavita Nijhon Verma & Dr. Manpreet Kaur, assisted by Sh. Ravi Kant Magotra (Sup. Pharmacist) and Smt. Naziya Banoo (FMPHW). Participants also received a free eye check-up and were issued provisional certificates upon completion.
IRCS, J&K, continues its mission of humanitarian service and community welfare, encouraging more participation in such initiatives.
