NMOPS delegation meets Sadhotra, seek revival of old pension scheme

JAMMU, Feb 8: A delegation of National Movement for Old Pension Scheme (NMOPS), led by State President Mohammed Ashraf Sheikh today called on National Conference Additional General Secretary and former Minister Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and sought restoration of the Old Pension Scheme for employees working in the Jammu and Kashmir administration.
The delegation said that the employees had many expectations from the present government as the National Conference has all along been pro-poor and pro- employees. They exuded confidence about their demand being conceded to, setting right the anomaly.
Sadhotra assured the delegation that their demand will be taken up with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for sympathetic and earnest consideration. The delegation comprised of Qazi Jalal Din Ex-MLA, Chief Advisor Mir Bashir Ahmed, UT Convenor Jalil Ahmed, Provincial Spokesperson Irfan Shan, Provincial Coordinator Rail Singh, UT Secretary Teachers Forum Mehmood Ryaz Bhat, Imtiyaz ul Haq, Shah Din, Master Gulzar Ahmed Shan, Zafrullah Ahmed, Danish Ahmed, Mohd Ameen and others.
