| Trikuta Nagar shoot-out | | ‘Police is un-necessarily dragging me in fake, frivolous case’, says Kuldeep Singh | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 11- Charging Jammu police of unnecessarily dragging him in a fake and frivolous case of shoot out in Trikuta Nagar, Kuldeep Singh a political activist and leading businessman of Jammu has said that this is being done at somebody’s instance who wanted to settle his political scores with him. Apprehending some foul play and well knitted conspiracy to malign and defame his reputation by some politicians inimical to his growing popularity, Kuldeep Singh has demanded a transparent and impartial high level probe into the whole episode as the alleged complainant never corroborated the said incident of harassment or any such complaint. He said the shootout in air by his licensed weapon at his own residence during the intervening night of April 5-6 was in consequence of apprehension of being attacked and purely in self defence. Addressing media persons here today along with dozen leaders belonging to Sikh community, Kuldeep Singh expressed doubt and fears over the attitude and conduct of Jammu police for misdirecting and confusing the investigation of such incident. Singh has even threatened to sue the conspirators including the policemen involved in this regard. Singh, who unsuccessfully fought last Parliament election from Jammu-Poonch constituency, claimed that he has neat, clean and unblemished career having flourishing business in painting and advertisement with well settled family life in which police is trying to create confusion and is tarnishing his reputation at the behest of their political mentors and demanded a high level probe to unveil the real faces and their motives.
