Udhampur, Feb 13: Udhampur Police has successfully solved a theft case in Majalta and arrested a notorious accused with a history of multiple criminal offenses.
A complaint was lodged by Naresh Singh, a resident of Sunal, Majalta, regarding the theft of cash and selling items from his shop. Acting swiftly, Majalta Police registered an FIR (No. 16/2025) and formed a special team under the supervision of SHO Majalta. During the investigation, several suspects were rounded up, and after rigorous questioning, one suspect, *Suman alias Raj Kumar*, son of Munshi Ram from Sunal, Majalta, confessed to the crime. Following his confession, police arrested the accused and recovered the stolen property. It is noteworthy that the accused has a *long criminal history, with multiple FIRs registered against him across different police stations, including Majalta, Samba, and Bahu Fort. His involvement in previous cases dates back to **2005*, ranging from theft and assault to trespassing and criminal mischief. Police have assured that further investigations are ongoing, and strict action will be taken as per the law. |
