| Govt releases 7% DA for State employees | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, APRIL 11 –Government today ordered release of 7 per cent additional Dearness Allowance (DA) in favour of State government employees including work charge and whole-time contingent paid employees.
The revised DA rates shall be effective from July 1, 2008 and the installment of DA payable under these orders shall be paid in cash along with the salary of April 2009. However, the DA arrears from July 1, 2008 to March 31, 2009 shall be paid along with the salary of May.
With this installment, the revised rate of total DA for the employees is now 54 per cent.
