LEH, Feb 15: In an effort to promote cleanliness, hygiene and environmental sustainability, the JETBUSTERS of Fire and Fury organised a large-scale Cleanliness Drive on 15 February 2025 at Spituk, Leh. The initiative aimed to encourage community participation in keeping public spaces clean while raising awareness about waste management and environmental conservation. The drive involved all ranks of the JETBUSTERS who joined hands to make the drive a grand success. The event was based on the theme of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) which is a country-wide campaign initiated by the Government of India on 02 October 2014 to improve solid waste management and to create Open Defecation Free (ODF) villages. The event also included interaction with the local populace in educating them on proper waste disposal, recycling and reducing plastic usage. This drive was aimed to in-still a sense of responsibility in our community and inspire more people to adopt sustainable practices in their daily lives.
