Reasi police organizes debate competition

REASI, Feb 17: In a proactive effort to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, Reasi Police organised a debate competition under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan as part of the Civic Actin Programme of Jammu and Kashmir Police at General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, Reasi. The event aimed to educate students about the ill efects of drug abuse and to inspire them how to lead a drug-free life.
The event witnessed the presence of Addl. SP Reasi Iftkhar Ahmed-JKPS, Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi Vishal Singh Jamwal, Principal of General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College, and SHOP P/S Reasi Insp. Ranjeet Singh Rao, alongwith the faculty and students of the college.
Speaking on the occasion, Addl. SP Reasi highlighted the commitment of Reasi Police towards eradicating the menace of drug abuse from society. He emphasized that organizing such events under the Civic Action Programme not only provides a platform for students to express their views but also serves as a crucial step in safeguarding the future of younger generations.
The competition saw enthusiastic participation from students, who presented thought-provoking arguments on the ill effects of drugs. The winners were honored with trophies and participation certificates, which were distributed by Addl. SP Reasi and Dy.SP Hqrs. Reasi.
The initiative was widely appreciated by the participants and the local community, who urged Reasi Police to conduct similar awareness programmes in other parts of the district to strengthen the fight against drug abuse. Reasi Police remains dedicated to its mission of ensuring a drug-free society and empowering the youth through positive engagement and educational initiatives.
