NHPC Salal Power Station wins top award for official language implementation

JAMMU, Feb 17: The Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, organized the Combined Regional Official Language Conference for the Central, Western and Northern regions at Jaipur on February 17th 2025. During this conference, NHPC's Salal Power Station (Jammu and Kashmir) was conferred with the first prize for its outstanding work in the implementation of official language. Shri Raj Kumar Chaudhary, CMD, NHPC and Shri Uttam Lal, Director (Personnel), NHPC received the award shield and certificate from Shri Bhajan Lal, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Rajasthan and Shri Nityanand Rai, Hon'ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India.
During the conference, Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC), Reasi which is implementing Official language works under the Chairmanship of NHPC Salal Power Station, was also conferred with the second prize. This award was received by Shri Anish Gouraha, Group General Manager, Head of NHPC Salal Power Station. Shri Ram Swaroop, Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu (J&K), Shri Santosh Kumar, Executive Director, Regional Office, Banikhet (Himachal Pradesh) alongwith senior NHPC officers also took part in the conference.
