Sports Minister concludes Annual Sports Meet in Lawrence School

JAMMU, Feb 17: Lawrence Public School, hosted its Annual Sports Meet 2025 with great enthusiasm, bringing together students, faculty, and esteemed guests for a day filled with excitement, competition, and camaraderie.
The event was graced by the presence of several distinguished guests, including the Chief Guest Hon'ble Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Mr. Satish Sharma. Also present were Dr. Madhu Khullar Former Director Health, Sdr Ravinder Singh Former Director School Education, Dr. Vinod Sharma Health Officer JMC, Mr. Munish Gupta Editor-in-Chief Early Times, special guest from Mumbai Mr. Sanjay Sharma Former GM Larsen & Toubro, Mr. Sahil Aggarwal Editor-in-Chief Views Today & President of Mua Thai Association, Jaswinder Singh Kuku International Hockey Coach, Arjun Gandotra International Speed Skating Champion, Jugraaj Singh Charlie Captain of National Roller Hockey Team, Mrs. Aradhana Sharma a renowned social activist & Shama Akhtar former Corporator JMC.
Adding to the sporting spirit of the day, the event also saw the presence of Lawrence School alumni who are also the recipients of State award which included Mr. Arjun Gandotra, an International Champion in Speed Skating Mr. Jugraaj Singh Charlie, Captain of National Roller skating team and Mr. Mohd. Farooq a prominent sports personality and father of IPL cricketer Abdul Samad, who is also an alumnus of Lawrence Public School.
The Sports Day featured a series of interactive and fun-filled races, where students competed with zeal and determination. The energy on the field was palpable, with the audience cheering on participants in a thrilling display of athleticism and team spirit. The event truly embodied the essence of sportsmanship, fostering a sense of healthy competition and discipline among students.
Speaking at the event, the esteemed guests lauded the school's efforts in promoting sports and fitness among students, emphasizing the importance of physical education in shaping a well-rounded personality.
Wg Cdr M.M Joshi Chairman Lawrence Public School, Jammu, extended heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, students, parents, and faculty members who contributed to the success of the event. The day concluded with prize distributions by Chief Guest Satish Sharma recognizing the outstanding performances of the young athletes and inspiring them to pursue excellence in sports.
With yet another successful Sports Day, Lawrence Public School, Jammu, reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing future champions and instilling in students the values of perseverance and teamwork.
