Vijaypur, Feb 17: Department of Commerce, Government Degree College Vijaypur organized an Awareness Program about Lifestyle Diseases. The program was organized under the able guidance of the esteemed Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Verma. The program started with the welcome speech by Prof. Sandhya Bhagat, Lecturer, Dept. of Commerce where she introduced the resource person and highlighted the importance of healthy lifestyle among youth. The speaker Mr. Vikas exhorted that a healthy lifestyle is the cornerstone of a happy and fulfilling life. It encompasses a balance of physical activity, nutritious eating, mental well-being, and positive habits. In today’s fast-paced world, maintaining such a lifestyle is both a necessity and a challenge. He further added that the goal of this healthy lifestyle is to provide practical tips and insights into achieving a balanced life by focusing on key elements of health and wellness. The question-answer session was taken by Mr. Sohan Singh where he clarified the doubts and queries of the participants. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce). She concluded that by understanding the importance of healthy choices and implementing them in our daily routines, we can enhance our quality of life, boost productivity, and prevent chronic illnesses.
The faculty members present were Prof. Anita Jamwal (HOD Political Science), Prof Mamta Gupta (HOD Commerce), Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat (HOD Sociology), Prof. Poonam Kundan (HOD Environmental Sciences), Dr. Manoj Heer (HOD Dogri) and Dr. Naseem Chowdhary (HOD English).
The event was coordinated by Prof. Sandhya Bhagat and co-coordinated by Dr. Priya, Prof. Ragini Gupta and Prof Shukoor (Lecturers in Department of Commerce).
