| Indian Army conducted lecture on road safety | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Feb 18: In order to strengthen the bond between Army and AWAM and to generate awareness about Road Safety and prevention of road accidents among students, an awareness programme on Road Safety and Preventive measures was organised by Indian Army at Government High School, Targain on 18 Feb 2025. A total number of around 40 locals (including 16 men, 08 women and 16 children) witnessed the said awareness programme. The aim of the lecture was to urge citizens to follow traffic rules.
The lecture aimed to educate citizens on the importance of following traffic rules and encourage safe driving habits. Students were sensitised about the dangers of reckless driving, overloading, riding without helmets and ignoring traffic rules, which often lead to serious injuries and fatalities. Emphasis was laid on basic road safety measures, such as the significance of wearing seat belts and helmets, avoiding distractions while driving and obeying speed limits. Real life example and interactive discussions helped students understand the risks associated with negligence on the road, making the session both engaging and informative.
The interactive session received a positive response with students showing great enthusiasm and eagerness to learn. Many expressed their interest in having more such awareness sessions in the future, reinforcing the importance of road safety in daily life. |
