KHOUR, Feb 18: The NSS unit of Government Degree College Khour commenced its 7 day winter special camp from February 18th to February 25th, 2025, with a fervent inauguration ceremony led by the College Principal, Prof. (Dr.) T.K Sharma. The event started with the traditional lightening of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the enlightenment and unity of purpose. Prof. Himanshu Khajuria, NSS Program Officer, outlined the comprehensive schedule of activities planned for the camp, setting the stage for an enriching experience ahead. An orientation program was conducted by Diljit Singh for the newly registered NSS volunteers, providing them with insights into the organizations ethos and objectives. Senior volunteers shared their experiences and enthusiasm, underscoring the spirit of community service embodied by NSS. Addressing the gathering, the College Principal emphasized the NSS motto "Not Me But You" urging students to embrace leadership and responsibility in serving the community selflessly. He further commended the efforts of the NSS Program Officer and volunteers, highlighting their dedication to community welfare. The launch of the winter special camp underscores GDC Khour's commitment to fostering a spirit of Social responsibility and collective action among its students, preparing them to be proactive agents of positive change in society. The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks extended by Prof. HImanshu Khajuria, expressing gratitude to all participants for their dedication and commitment. Prof. Khalid Sajad Bohra, Prof. Shivani Sharma & Prof. Pooja Kumari also graced the event with their presence. |
