| Coalition functioning directionless, alleges Mahajan | | | Early Times report Jammu Apr12-Vice president of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Ved Mahajan today lambasted National Conference-Congress alliance for betraying the common masses. Addressing series of public meetings at Handwal, Dabber Mehra, Keri and other areas of Nagrota assembly segment with Abdul Rashid Malik, he said that both National Conference and Congress had promised to solve problems of the masses but after grabbing the power both the parties have miserably failed to take step to mitigate woes of the people. During the last three months coalition regime has not taken even a single step in right direction, he observed and termed the State Government as total failure on all fronts. He opined that except promises this coalition has done nothing in its 100 days. Ridiculing National Conference leaders for highlighting 100 days achievements of coalition regime, Mahajan said that it was pity that ruling party has failed to gauge the anger prevailing among the masses due to failure of this regime. “There is feeling among people that both NC and Congress have betrayed them”, he said and called upon the people to teach a lesson to both the parties in the coming Lok Sabha elections. He said that PDP candidate Trilok Singh Bajwa has already proved his capability as member of the Rajya Sabha. He said that Mr Bajwa as Rajya Sabha member has effectively taken up the issues of people of Jammu and Kashmir in the Parliament. PDP leader Abdul Rashid Malik while speaking in these meetings said that it was all due to the casual approach of the National Conference leaders that problems of the common masses have been compounding with every passing day. Bagh Hussain member of the Gujjar Advisory Board, Hassan Hussain also addressed these meetings.
