Jammu police arrest three drug peddlers

JAMMU, Feb 18: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking under Operation Sanjeevani, Jammu Police arrested three drug peddlers from the Bishnah area and seized 15 grams of heroin (Chitta).
A police team from Bishnah Police Station, led by SHO Sushil Choudhary under the supervision of SDPO R.S. Pura and overall guidance of SP Headquarters, intercepted three suspects at Chak Bana, Bishnah. The accused attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended.
Rakesh Kumar Choudhary (S/o Baldev Raj) - Resident of Bana Chak, Bishnah. Jeet Raj (S/o Som Nath) - Resident of Khour Dunian, Tehsil R.S. Pura. Navjot Singh (S/o Vikram Singh) - Resident of Khore Dunian, Tehsil R.S. Pura.
A thorough search led to the recovery of 15 grams of heroin from their possession. A case under FIR No. 16/2025 has been registered at Bishnah Police Station under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act. Further investigation is underway.
Jammu Police reiterated its commitment to eradicating the drug menace and urged citizens to report any suspicious activities. Informants providing crucial leads will have their identities kept confidential.
