| Azad warmly welcomed in BJP fold | | | Jammu, Apr 12- The State Unit of BJP today hummed with activity when Ghulam Ali Azad, brother of former Chief Minister & AICC (I) l General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad formally joined the BJP here today. He was welcomed at party headquarters by BJP State President Ashok Khajuria, State Vice-President Dr. Nirmal Kamal, Spokesperson Ramesh Arora (Adv.) senior leader Lalit Moza and other senior functionaries of the party. Besides, Ghulam Ali Azad, Retired District and& Sessions Judge K.K. Proach, Congress activist from Bhaderwah Raju Sharma and a prominent social figure from Bishnah were also welcomed on the occasion. They were garlanded by the party leaders. Ghulam Ali Azad and three others had joined BJP three days ago at New Delhi in presence of BJP National General Secretary. Today, after reaching Jammu these leaders visited BJP headquarters to meet the State president and other leaders. Ghulam Ali Azad, while talking to media persons said that he has joined BJP as he was impressed by principles and policies of the party. He said that he fully endorses BJP’s stand Article on and that on Ram temple issue. He said that he has joined BJP unconditionally and would work whole heartedly to strengthen it. Ashok Khajuria, while welcoming Ghulam Ali Azad and others into the party fold said that it will be in favour of unity of state and will remove doubts from the minds of the members of a particular faith that BJP is communal party, as is alleged by other parties for vote bank politics.
