| Vote BJP to strengthen nationalist forces: Kavinder to electorate | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 12- senior BJP leader and Mayor, Jammu Municipal Corporation today appealed the people of Jammu to vote for BJP candidates in Lok Sabha election to strengthen nationalist forces and to end repeated discrimination with Jammu region. Talking to media persons here at party headquarters, along with District President, Jammu, Rajesh Gupta, Kavinder Gupta said that vote is right of every common man and every citizen of Jammu should come forward to exercise their right to vote and strengthen democracy. "There is dire need to vote for BJP to maintain the self-respect of Jammu, strengthening state-centre relations as BJP is only party which speaks and have guts to work in this connection while others like National Conference and Congress make hollow slogans", he added. Highlighting various issues, he said "political parties like Congress, National Conference and even Kashmiri leaders are always targeting security forces on the name of Human Right violations". He further said that Jammu and Ladakh regions continue to be discriminated in many matters, besides Jammu province continues to remain deprived politically. Kavinder Gupta appealed people of Jammu not to vote for Congress and National Conference who repeatedly ignored the interests of Jammu and discriminated it at all levels. The people had tested the representatives of Congress and National Conference who in Parliament did nothing to safeguard the interests of Jammuites and taking no steps to make Jammu politically empowered for which they had taken vote in elections, he added. "I appeal the people of Jammu to reject the Congress and NC which had always betrayed the masses by hoax slogans which were never implemented on the ground resulting into backwardness among the people of the region", he said. Lambasting the successive State governments for ‘ignoring’ the plight of West Pakistan refugees, he alleged, "West Pakistani and other refugee brethren have been living in miserable conditions since independence. They have been denied their basic rights including voting right for State Assembly. Both, Congress and National Conference have played with sentiments of the refugees and hoodwinked them by making hollow promises for vote bank politics." District BJP President Rajesh Gupta, while commenting on the candidature of Leela Karan Sharma, said that he is only candidate who could work for self-respect and pride of Jammu and will strongly represent Jammu in Parliament. Rajesh Gupta asked the electorates to be aware of the tactics being employed by the Congress and their renewed friends to seek their votes.
