| Shoab lambastes NC-Congress of bringing development works on halt | | | Early Times Report Bhaderwah, Apr 12- Senior People Democratic Party (PDP) Prof. Shoab Inayat Malik has lambasted the NC-Congress coalition in the state for bringing the developmental works on standstill. “The developmental works started by Mufti Muhammad Sayeed in all the three regions of the state have been put on standstill by the present coalition government as they have no policy and program to start the developmental works in the state,” he said while addressing series of Public meetings at Bhalla, Thelala, Bhela, Nalthi, Basti and Kulsari of Bhaderwah-Bhalessa constituency. Accompanied by Sheikh Mjeed Ali, party candidate from Bhaderwah-Bhalessa Constituency, MLC Murtaza Khan and Mohammed Saleem Wani, Prof. Shohab while criticizing the present coalition government said that it had no common minimum program and till date they have failed to deliver goods to the people of state. “Before elections National Conference had promised to provide jobs to unemployed youth but had failed to fulfill this promise. The way Planning Commission has blocked Rs 1150 crore worth power reforms grant to the State for the previous financial year of 2008-09 on the ground that it was not satisfied with reforms undertaken by the State Government on the power front, a pre-condition for the release of grant, it self speaks the credibility and performance of Omar led coalition” he said He alleged that the “BJP, Congress and National Conference are misleading the people of Chenab Valley for their pity benefits. Being MP, Ch. Lal Singh had totally failed to deliver goods to the needy and downtrodden people of erstwhile Doda district, instead of working for the development of the state, during the two month long agitation in Jammu he openly supported the Sangarsh Samiti. Prof Shohab urged the voters to cast their votes in favour of PDP candidates Balbir Singh from Doda Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency and Sheikh Majeeb Ali from Bhaderwah Assembly constituency.
