MIET students, students donate blood

Jammu, Apr 12- NSS Unit of Model Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) has organized a Blood Donation Camp at its campus in which more than 125 members of the staff and students donated their blood
In addition to imparting technical education, MIET has always been in the fore front to inculcate those values in the students which help our society. Just a couple of months ago, they had organized an Awareness Program for the dreaded disease like AIDS. Students even went to the Orphan Hostel at Ambphalla and donated generously for the less privileged children
Dr. Arun K. Gupta, the Chairman and Dr. Renu Gupta, the Director MIER have always been encouraging such activities which enhance our moral values. Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director MIER gave his blessing for the function and gave the whole hearted support for this event. Prof Ankur Gupta is the soul behind all such events being conducted at MIET. With his personal involvement, he ensures that students as well the staff rise to all occasions to help the society.
Prof S. K. Sharma, Principal MIET, who inaugurated the function in conjunction with Dr Kumkum Sharma, told the media persons that this event was conducted on specific request from the students. The motivation level in the College is so high that students are volunteering to take on any such activity which helps the society. Complete NSS unit of MIET under Prof B.B.Mehmi is totally dedicated to undertake all the events and motivate the students by ensuring mass participation in various social functions which increase bondage, camaraderie and brotherhood among themselves.
