| Shastri hails release of DA, demands SRO on Pay Panel recommendations | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 12- President National Mazdoor Conference Subash Shastri has appreciated the decision of the state government in releasing DA installment due from July last to its employees and pensioners and described it as an employee friendly step.
Commenting on the decision on release of DA, Shastri thanked the Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues and also the Chief Electoral Officer for clearing the release of DA thus fulfilling the one of the pending demands of the employees.
The NMC President however urged the state government to issue the requisite SRO with regard to the implementation of the 6th Pay commission recommendations and emphasized that the arrears from January 2006 on this account should be paid in case in two installments. He also demanded regularization of all daily wagers, consolidated, adhoc, contractual and casual labourers besides enhancement of wages of daily wagers from Rs.70 to Rs.200 per day.
