Jammu, Apr12- Dubbing National Conference as “mother of all problems” of Jammu and Kashmir, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today exhorted its workers to expose misdeeds of this party before the masses.
Addressing a public meeting at Khour in support of party candidate Trilok Singh Bajwa, general secretary of the PDP Daman Bhasin chided National Conference for “highlighting” 100 days achievements of the coalition regime. “During the last 100 days this government has not even identified its priorities so there is no question of any achievements in this period”, he said and regretted that in three month’s period this coalition regime has only misused state apparatus to encourage corruption at various level.
“Acute shortage of essential commodities especially ration in the most parts of Jammu region speaks about failure of the government”, he said and pointed out that the inhabitants of Poonch, Rajouri, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban have been confronting with the problem of shortage of ration.
Taking a dig at National Conference leadership, he reminded that this party had made a number of promises with the people of Jammu and Kashmir during the assembly elections but not even a single promise has been so far implemented.
Speaking on the occasion, former Minister Rangil Singh asked the people to compare three year of regime with successive governments of National Conference. He said that PDP regime has not only accelerated developmental activities but also established lasting peace in this region. He said that it was all due to the sincere efforts of PDP leadership that sustainable peace has been established on border.
Highlighting achievements of PDP led coalition regime, Manjit Singh, former Minister and ex-MLA from Vijaypur said that the party has formulated a comprehensive policy for rural people. He cautioned the people against malicious campaign launched by some vested interests against the party.
Senior party leader and convenor of the OBC cell, H R Chargotra also cautioned people against those who have been exploiting sentiments of the people. He said that Jammu and Kashmir has been passing through a crucial phase and it was high time to strengthen PDP.
