RS PURA, Feb 21: Career Counselling / Guidance and Placement cell in collaboration with Department of Physics Govt. Degree College, R.S. Pura Jammu organized a career counseling session on the topic " Building a Bright Future: Career Opportunities for Fresh Graduates in Public Recruitment Exams" on 21st February 2025 under the able guidance of Dr. Preetpal Kour, worthy Principal of the College. The resource persons of the event were Mr.Shoib Farid, CEO, Wings Ek Udaan Private Ltd. and Shubham Sardhalia Centre Head Sunya IAS ACIO, Intelligent Bureau selected. The welcome address was given by Prof. Geetika Goswami, Head Department of Geography.The programme includes different sessions regarding orientation and preparation of various competitive exams like UPSC,CSE, Indian Forest Services, JKAS, JKPSC and state level exams like JKSSB, Banking etc. The lecture was attended by a large number of students who patiently listened to the lecture with great enthusiasm and actively participated in question session after culmination of the lecture. Worthy Principal of the college Dr. Preetpal Kour also highlighted the importance of career counseling session which helps students to analyze their strength and develop strategy to achieve academic and career course. She emphasized on the importance of such type of programmes and encouraged the committee to organize such programmes in the future also.
The entire program was successfully organized by Dr. Neeru Sawhney, Convener, Career Counseling and Placement cell, The programme was attended by members of Career Counselling Cell, Prof. Shelly Kalsi, Prof. Meeshu Pandita, Prof. Geetika Goswami , Prof. Vijeeta Anand. and other faculty members of the college. The program ended nicely with a formal vote of thanks by Prof. Vijeeta Anand. |
