| RJD demands probe into alleged bunglings in custodian general | | | EARLY TIMES REPORTER JAMMU | SEPT 22 Rashtriya Janta Dal J&K units has demanded probe into the state of affairs in the office of Custodian General here. This demand was made in the meeting of state unit of the party held under the chairmanship of Vijay Mahajan (Secretary General) who alleged that all was not well in the working of Custodian Department. Mahajan Said, that while the department was not making repairs of the evacuee’s property house damaged in rains on the protest of paucity of funds, it was spending in renovation and remodeling of the office of custodian general and his residence. He also alleged that the new flats constructed by Custodian Department were not put to open an auction an instead allotted the same to people from the valley. Mahajan said through inquiry into the affairs could bring the facts to the fore, the guilty identified and appropriate action taken against them. Prominent among those who spoke in the meeting included Sumit Gupta, v.K Handoo, Bharat Bhushan and others.
