| Sheikh Rehman asks people to defeat communal forces | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 13: The secular front comprising of Samajwadi party, Rashtriya Janta Party and Lok Jan Shakti party holds the key to formation government at the centre, said state chief of Samajwadi party, Shiekh Abdul Rehman at a press meet here today. He said secular front at the centre leadership of Mulayam Singh Yadav, Lalu Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan, is constesting 120 seats and hoped that the secular front shall win more than 80 seats holding the key to the running the Govt at the centre and maintained that the secularism, the main pillar of Indian Constitution and its sovereignty, is under great threat at the hands of communal forces for their vested interests. Rehman called upon the general voters to see through the game of Baba Amarnath land row and the slogan to march towards Muzaffarabad, played by BJP in Jammu and PDP in Kashmir remaining the main beneficiaries in 2008 assembly elections. He appealed the masses to teach these parties a lesson in the Lok Sabha elections who simply provocate and play with the religious sentiments and emotions of the masses to grind their own axe. Coming down heavily on Congress and NC, the Samajwadi Party Supremo said that these parties indulged in mud slinging since 2002 to 2008 and suddenly became friends in 2009 without any common minimum program simply to grab power and befool and betray the common masses for lust of power. That is why their performance in 1st 100 days remained zero he said and added that people are now fed up with the hollow slogans of spent forces of congress, NC, BJP and PDP and exhorted upon the electorates not to fall prey to their ill designs of deceptive politics.
