| Poll fever reaches crescendo in Jammu | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr13- Ahead of last day of campaigning for the Jammu-Poonch Lok Sabha seat political parties and their candidates have launched massive mobilization exercise to impress voters in order to win their support. On the last day of the campaign Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will be jointly addressing campaign meetings in Vijaypur and Kathua in support of alliance candidates. On Monday Congress candidate Madan Lal Sharma addressed series of poll meetings across Jammu seeking support of people ahead of last day of campaigning and on the other hand his opponent Leela Karan Sharma reached out to voters in Samba district and addressed several small and big election meetings. Candidates of other political parties including BSP candidate also camped in Jammu and addressed series of meetings in RSPura urging voters to support BSP to realize Mayawatis dream of claiming power at the centre. In his brief speeches during election meetings, Leela Karan Sharma urged voters to support BJP and empower themselves by electing a decisive and strong government. PDP patron Mufti Mohd Sayeed addressed election campaign meetings in Udhampur in favour of party candidate Balbir Singh and cautioned people of the state against voting for the unprincipled alliance of NC -Congress who have earlier rigged 1987 polls paving way for the turmoil in the state. Meanwhile, Congress candidate Madan Lal Sharma highlighted agenda of congress party and urged voters to read the report card of the congress led UPA government at the centre at the time of casting their votes.
