Sarbat Da Bhala Trust Inaugurates Sunny Oberoi Clinical Lab, Diagnostic Center

JAMMU, Feb 27: The Sarbat Da Bhala Charitable Trust, under the leadership of Dr. S. P. S. Oberai, inaugurated the Sunny Oberoi Clinical Lab and Diagnostic Center at Gurdwara Tapo Asthan Sant Baba Sunder Singh Ji in Akhnoor. The facility, managed by the District Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee (DGPC) Jammu, aims to provide affordable medical diagnostic services to the people of Akhnoor and surrounding areas.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by the Honorable MLA of the Akhnoor constituency, Shri Mohan Lal Bhagat, who lauded the initiative of the Sarbat Da Bhala Trust. He also acknowledged the efforts of Master Ranvir Singh, Joint Secretary DGPC Jammu, in making such essential healthcare facilities accessible to the local population at discounted rates.
Dr. Daljeet Singh Gill, representing the trust, highlighted their ongoing efforts in running medical schemes nationwide to ensure affordable clinical tests. He revealed that approximately 125 Sunny Oberoi Clinical Laboratories are already operational across the country, with plans to expand further. Dr. Gill also assured that additional facilities such as digital X-ray, ultrasound, physiotherapy, and dental services would be introduced at the newly inaugurated center to provide comprehensive healthcare under one roof.
S. Ranjit Singh Tohra, President DGPC Jammu, expressed appreciation for Dr. S. P. S. Oberai's dedication to establishing such centers nationwide, making crucial diagnostic tests available at significantly reduced rates. S. Balvinder Singh, Vice President DGPC Jammu, commended the contributions of S. Ranvir Singh and urged Dr. Gill to establish more such centers in Jammu City and its border areas in collaboration with DGPC Jammu.
S. Gurmit Singh, member of DGPC Jammu, and S. Ajit Singh, Chairman of the Sikh Coordination Committee, also acknowledged the trust's efforts in providing accessible healthcare facilities. Other notable attendees included Master Surjit Singh, Chairman S. Arjun Singh, Sh. K. P. Singh, Sh. Shakti Singh, Mrs. Kuldeep Kour, Dr. Gafoor, and representatives from Kabir Sabha, Rajput Sabha, Sant Ravi Dass Sabha Akhnoor, as well as former Panchs and Sarpanchs.
This initiative by the Sarbat Da Bhala Trust marks a significant step towards ensuring quality healthcare services for the underprivileged, reinforcing the trust's commitment to community welfare and accessible medical care.
