| Ambedkar scholarship for poor students | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 13- Six students of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families would be awarded Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar scholarship by the All India Confederation of SC/ST Organizations for their meritorious excellence in academics.
On Ambedkar Jayanti, the Confederation has announced annual scholarship for students belonging to Below Poverty Line (BPL) families for outstanding achievements in academics, R K Kalsotra, Confederation president said.
Kalsotra said that the scholarship would be announced annually on the basis of performance in academics by the students.
The scholarship would be announced for the middle pass students and it would be reviewed every year for high and higher studies on performance basis, he added.
Kalsotra further said that besides cash, school kits, uniform and books would also be provided by the Confederation and this year six students have been identified while next year more students would be rewarded scholarship.
All India Confederation of SC/ST Organization is going to observe, Ambedkar Jayanti on his 118th Birth Anniversary at a function here tomorrow..
