Jammu, Apr 13-Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has described Dr. B. R. Ambedkar as a towering leader of modern India and the main architect of the Indian Constitution, who aspired to ensure equal rights for the underprivileged so that they could be equal partners in nation building and share fruits of prosperity. In a message on the birthday of the legendary leader, the Chief Minister paid rich tributes to Baba Saheb for his contribution to the uplift of downtrodden and weaker sections of the society. Abdullah said Baba Saheb’s leadership qualities and endeavour of creating a just society based on equal rights are a source of inspiration for the people across party affiliations and the best tribute to him would be to uphold principles he cherished all his life. He said the late leader would be remembered for his contribution for a long time.
