| GDC Nagrota organizes lecture | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 3: Under the aegis of IQAC, Career/ Placement Counselling Cell of GDC Nagrota, in collaboration with Department of Chemistry organized a lecture under the able guidance of Prof. Anjali Mahajan on the topic ' How to join Indian Army". The lecture was delivered by Col. Abhay Sharma , a decorated officer of 1st J&K Rifles. At present, he is Director Recruiting Army Recruiting Office, Jammu. Col. Sharma shared his personal journey and provided detailed insights into the various entry schemes available for aspiring candidates. He emphasized the importance of dedication, physical fitness and mental resilience required to serve in the armed forces. The lecture covered multiple entry routes including National Defence Academy (NDA), Combined Defence Services (CDS). Technical Entry Scheme (TES). He also highlighted the significance of the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview process, providing tips on preparation and what assessors look for in potential officers. Attending students expressed their gratitude for the valuable information and motivation. Principal of the College, Prof. Anjali Mahajan praised the efforts of the Committee to organize the lecture and urged the students to avail the benefits of various entry schemes.
