Early Times Report KATRA, Mar 3: The two-day National Workshop cum Conference on Algebra, Analysis, Topology, and Applications-2025 was inaugurated at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU) under the PM Usha scheme. The event aims to foster academic discussions and research collaborations in mathematical sciences. Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Associate Professor, School of Mathematics, SMVDU, and the program coordinator, delivered the welcome address. He outlined the conference agenda, which includes 15 invited talks by eminent experts from IITs, central universities, and state universities across the country, along with over 50 paper presentations by participants. A special workshop on Cryptography will also be conducted during the event. Dr. Kuldip Raj, Associate Professor and Head, School of Mathematics, SMVDU, addressed the gathering, reflecting on the department's growth over the years. Prof. R.K. Sharma from IIT Delhi, the Guest of Honor, commended the progress of the School of Mathematics and delivered an insightful lecture on cryptography. Prof. Sunil Kumar Wanchoo, Dean, Faculty of Sciences, SMVDU, lauded the School of Mathematics for consistently organizing academic events and encouraged students to publish their research in reputed journals. The Chief Guest, Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, emphasized the fundamental role of mathematics in all disciplines and motivated faculty members and research scholars to engage in interdisciplinary research. He also urged the organizers to expand the event to an international level. The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Assistant Professor and event coordinator, acknowledging the efforts of all participants and organizers in making the event a success. |
