ADC Jammu Ansuya Jamwal highlights parents' role in preventing drug abuse

JAMMU, Mar 3: ADC Jammu, Ansuya Jamwal today participated in drug abuse awareness campaign organized by Rural Development Department at GBHS Bansultan. Principal GGHSS Miran Sahib and ZEO Miran Sahib welcomed ADC Jammu. The officials from different departments participated and expressed their views regarding drug abuse.The students of GBHS Bansultan performed spectacular Nukkad Naatak highlighting effects of drugs abuse. Principal GGHSS Miran Sahib Ashok Chopra urged all community members to intensify campaign at community level and contribute to make our society a 'Drug free' society .ZEO Miran Sahib Smt Verthana Sharma ,SHO Miran Sahib M Ajesh Jamwal, BDO Miran Sahib Ms. Sonali , Headmaster GBHS Bansultan S Ranjeet Singh , ZICC Ms Sukhjinder Kour, staff members of the School and community members were present on this occasion and took pledge to make efforts in creating a Drug free society. Ms. Ansuya Jamwal, The drug abuse awareness campaign aimed to educate students and the community about the dangers of drug abuse and the importance of living a healthy and drug-free life. As ADC Jammu, Ms. Jamwal's participation in the event underscored her commitment to addressing social issues and promoting awareness about critical topics affecting the community.Ms. Ansuya Jamwal, ADC Jammu, emphasized the importance of parental involvement in preventing drug abuse among children. She urged parents to keep a close eye on their activities, friends and behavior, keep track of their children's expenses to prevent suspicious transactions.By taking these steps, parents can help identify early warning signs of drug abuse and take corrective action.
