Govt SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, honors NCC Cadets

JAMMU, Mar 4: Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, recently honored its NCC cadets who brought immense pride to the institution by participating in the Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2025. A total of 09 cadets from the college represented the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh NCC Directorate at the prestigious Republic Day Camp held in New Delhi, showcasing exceptional leadership and commitment.
Of the 09 cadets who participated in the RDC, 06 were from the Naval Wing. These include: Senior Cadet Captain Deepak Kumar, Cadet Gursharan Singh, Cadet Ashish Kumar, Cadet Samayranjan Sahoo all of whom participated in the Prime Minister's Rally. Whereas Cadet Sneha Rao - selected as Best Cadet (SW) and also participated in the Prime Minister's Rally and Cadet Keshav Singh Jasrotia was part of the All India Guard of Honour.
From the Infantry Wing, three cadets, Irfan Nazir Dar, Shubam Singh and Cadet Jatin, participated both in cultural and the Prime Minister's Rally. In recognition of their outstanding achievements, the college organized a felicitation ceremony, attended by the Principal of the College, Dr. Rajinder Singh, along with ANOs Sub Lt. Joginder Kumar, Lt. Madhu Bala, and other senior faculty members. The event celebrated cadets' remarkable accomplishments and the pride they brought to the college.
In his address, Principal Dr. Rajinder Singh commended the cadets for their hard work, dedication, and exemplary service. He emphasized the crucial role that NCC plays in shaping young leaders and fostering a national spirit, urging the cadets to continue their efforts in making meaningful contributions to the nation. Dr. Singh also appreciated the efforts of both ANOs in bringing out the best in the cadets, enabling them to compete at the national level.
