JSS proposes special school for inclusive education
3/4/2025 10:08:06 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Mar 4: Jammu Sanskriti School has always championed inclusivity, firmly believing that "Every child has a unique quality, which as a school, we nurture and craft." Understanding the needs of special students for over a decade in inclusive setup; the institution is now poised to take a significant step by establishing a dedicated Special School in Jammu.
Education is the foundation of an inclusive and progressive society. In today's evolving world, where awareness about neurodiversity is increasing, the need for specialized education and support for children with conditions such as Autism, ADHD, and Learning Disabilities has become more pressing than ever.
Our vision is to create an inclusive community where every child is empowered to reach their full potential, equipped with the skills and confidence to lead fulfilling lives. By fostering a nurturing and supportive environment, the school aims not only to benefit its students but also to enrich the broader community.
In alignment with this vision, members of the management team and special educators from Jammu Sanskriti School, Jammu, recently met Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha Ji to present a proposal for setting up an advanced school dedicated to children with special needs.
The JSS family is deeply grateful to Hon'ble LG Shri Manoj Sinha Ji for his valuable time, patient hearing of the proposal, and assurance of support wherever necessary.
Recognizing the urgent need for a dedicated Special School in Jammu, the institution has proposed the establishment of a comprehensive center that will provide specialized education, therapy, and parental support under the guidance of the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).
This project aims to bridge the gap in special education facilities in Jammu and create a nurturing ecosystem for neurodiverse children. Through this proposal, Jammu Sanskriti School seeks the necessary assistance to bring this vision to life and make a lasting impact on countless families in the region.
