| Ashok Sharma expresses shock over tragic bus mishap, demands probe | | |
JAMMU SEPT-22- Senior Congress leader and MLC Ashok Sharma has expressed shock and grief over the tragic bus accident resulting into the death of five persons and injuries to many others in Rajouri district yesterday. He has demanded an inquiry by a sitting High Court judge into the repeated bus accidents in Rajouri district to pinpoint the responsibility for these mishaps.
In a message Sharma today expressed sympathies with bereaved families and urged the government to provide ex-gratia of Rs.3 lakh in favour of the next of the kin of the each killed in the accident besides government job and Rs.50,000 each to those injured in the accident .
Sharma also called for taking stringent measures to check the over loading in passenger buses, ensuring plying of good condition vehicles on the roads apart from upgrading and improving the roads in the hilly areas like Rajouri to avoid recurrence of such accidents.
