Gandoh, Apr 14- Former Minister and Congress candidate from Bhaderwah assembly segment Mohammad Sharief Niaz today assured the people that all villages of this segment would be connected with road network.
Addressing an impressive and historical public meeting at Gandoh, Niaz said that he would complete the unfinished tasks of former Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad who has reposed faith in him by giving him mandate for this assembly segment. “ Ghulam Nabi Azad has formulated a comprehensive plan for the overall development of Bhaderwah and I will fulfill dreams of Azad, who as a Chief Minister of State has accelerated developmental activities not only in Bhaderwah but in whole State”, he said and called upon the people to strengthen the hands of Sonia Gandhi and Ghulam Nabi Azad for the betterment and development of the State. He hoped that United Progressive Alliance (UPA) under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi would retain the power and developmental activities in the State would be accelerated. He cautioned the people against evil designs of BJP which has been trying to create division in the society for getting votes.
Niaz assured the people that Bhaderwah would be brought on the international map of tourism. “We have huge tourism potential and I, if elected, would take effective steps to exploit that potential”, he said and further assured the people that a comprehensive plan especially for tourism would be formulated for Bhaderwah.
The former Minister demanded regularization of daily wagers of Forest, Forest Protection Force, PHE, PDD, Agriculture and other departments who have completed seven years of the age of their service.
Supporting demand of the PHE employees of Jammu region, Niaz demanded that these employees should be given wages as par with their colleagues in Kashmir. He said that PHE employees in Kashmir have been getting wages at the rate of Rs 2100 per month while as their colleagues in Jammu are getting Rs 500 only.
The former Power Minister also supported the demand of agitating Home Guards who have been demanded regularization of their service. He also demanded that special police recruitment drive of police should be started in far-flung and remotest areas like Bhaderwah and Bhalesa areas of Doda district.
