3/7/2025 11:02:34 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Mar 7: Members of the J & K Private Schools Association, Jammu met with the Director School Education Jammu Naseem Javaid Chowdhary, (JKAS) in an introductory meeting here today and apprised him of their problems and demands.
They said that since 2015 onwards confirmation of result of all private schools was done on the fixed parameters by all the CEOs/ZEOs of Jammu division in accordance to the directions given to them by the Director School Education, Jammu time to time.
While briefing members also said that now a day the entire system of education has shifted from offline mode to online mode to check the proxy admission of the students whether enrolled in government / private schools.
The School Education Department, Government of India has made mandatory the use of
Permanent Education Number (PEN) along with Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry (APAAR) ID in a move to simplify and streamline the process of students’ transition from one school to another. In such circumstances none of the school which is registered in the UDISE portal can admit any of the students in any class / standard until or unless the students are not registered in the students’ module, they said.
In the light of their issues they demanded exemption of old precedent of countersignature/ authentication as it has no relevance in current scenario.
The Director School Education Jammu gave a patient hearing and assured the delegation for immediate redressal of their grievances. He also asked the delegation to inform the private schools having yellow buses to install CCTV camera by March 31, 2025 to enhance the student safety in the school buses. Schools found violating the directives will face action under Motor Vehicle Act 1988, he added.
The members who accompanied the delegation included Kamal Gupta, Ajay Gupta, Deepak Handa, Ajay Singh, Gaurav Charak and Lal Chand.
