IIM Jammu hosts ISYEP, IIT Jammu E-SDP for Educational Visit

JAMMU, Mar 7: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, under the leadership of Prof. B.S. Sahay, Director, IIM Jammu, welcomed participants from the Inter State Youth Exchange Program (ISYEP), organized under Nehru Yuva Sangathan, Ministry of Youth Affairs, Government of India, along with participants from the IIT Jammu Advanced Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Programme (E-SDP) for an educational visit. The initiative aimed to provide insights into management education, career opportunities, and the entrepreneurial ecosystem at IIM Jammu.
The ISYEP participants represented five districts of Haryana-Mahendragarh, Rewari, Gurugram, Sonipat, and Jhajjar-bringing together a diverse group of young minds eager to explore opportunities in management and entrepreneurship. A total of 25 ISYEP participants in the first half, followed by 25 participants from IIT Jammu's E-SDP program, embarked on a comprehensive campus tour. They explored key landmarks such as the Grand Reception Area, Clock Tower, Courtyard, Nalanda Library, Smart Classrooms, Mandapam Auditorium, and the Vedanta MDP Block, gaining firsthand exposure to IIM Jammu's world-class infrastructure and academic excellence.
The visit featured an interactive career counselling session, where participants received valuable insights into career pathways, admission procedures for IIMs and IITs, and strategic career planning. The session saw enthusiastic participation, with students actively engaging and posing insightful questions about their aspirations and academic prospects.
Additionally, a special session on Entrepreneurship at DST iTBI IIM Jammu was conducted by the Chief Innovation Officer, IIM Jammu, for the IIT Jammu E-SDP participants, and by the Chief Innovation Officer, Srinagar, for the ISYEP participants. The session provided crucial insights into the startup ecosystem, innovation, and entrepreneurship, encouraging participants to explore emerging opportunities in the evolving business landscape.
Through such initiatives, IIM Jammu reaffirms its commitment to nurturing future leaders and entrepreneurs. The institute continues to play a vital role in fostering skill development, innovation, and career aspirations among youth across India.
The visit was successfully coordinated and executed by the PR team and the Centre for Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Skill Development at IIM Jammu.
