| BJP organizes impressive road show, seeks votes for Sharma | | ‘Make judicious use of vote’ Lila Karan appeals electorate | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 14- On the last day of the election campaigning, an impressive road show in a procession was taken out by BJP in old city of Jammu in favour of party candidate Lila Karan Sharma. It was organized by the Jammu East Mandal and led by state president Ashok Khajuria. It started from Chowk Chabutra and after passing through main bazars of the old city, culminated outside Raghunath Mandir. The procession was welcomed and accorded warm reception at number of places by the common people, members of various Bazar Associations and supporters of BJP. While addressing gatherings at various places, Ashok Khajuria said that Lila Karan Sharma is a symbol of Jammu’s unity. He personifies the Jammuites integrity and dignity and self-respect. He appealed the voters of Jammu region to vote in favour of BJP candidate because it is the only party which has been fighting, from the days of Praja Parishad to Jan Sangh to Janta Party and now BJP for the cause of Jammu region and has sacrificed a number of its great leaders. Lila Karan Sharma in his address said that it is ridiculous that in 2002 Jammu was having more voters than Kashmir but in 2008 it has declined while on the other hand there is increase in Kashmir. It is so because proper census has not been held and is an effort to deny the Jammu region its due in resources and empowerment. He is committed to end this biased attitude. He further assured that he will not allow this type of discriminatory attitude and will act as a watchdog for the interests of Jammu in Parliament. He appealed the voters not to waste their vote and caste it in favour of the BJP as they have tested the Congress, NC and PDP and seen their real faces. He said the people should give a chance to BJP so that they do not have to suffer any more. Dr. Nirmal Kamal, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Yudhvir Sethi, Rajesh Gupta, Bansi Lal Bharti, Ramesh Sharma, Usha Choudhary, Chander Lekha Khajuria, Priya Sethi, Darshana Devi, Gulshan Mahajan, N.D. Rajwal, Govind Sareen, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Karan Singh, Sanjeev Gupta and Kapil Kohli were prominent among those who also addressed the gathering at different places.
