Youth Talent Search celebrates Women's Day with Grand Award Ceremony

JAMMU, Mar 7: Youth Talent Search, a prestigious forum of schools in Jammu, celebrated Women's Day with an award ceremony at Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk. The event was marked by vibrant performances, inspiring speeches, and recognition of exceptional contributions in the field of education. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati. Ms. Prabha Jain, Chairperson of New Era Environment High School, extended a warm welcome to the esteemed guests in her opening address.
Ms. Indu Kanwal Chib, Chairperson of JKSSB, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while Ms. Shagun Manchanda, District Mission Coordinator, Mission Shakti Social Welfare Department, attended as the Guest of Honour. The dignitaries were welcomed with floral bouquets by Mrs. Vasudha (MD, Elite Public High School), Mrs. Mala Sharma (Chairperson, Elite Public High School), Mrs. Anku Charak (Vice Principal, Humanity Public School), Mrs. Anita Ambardar (Principal, Playway House School), and Mrs. Usha Jamwal (Principal, BHMP).
The celebration saw enthusiastic participation from principals, teachers, and students representing renowned schools, including JK Montessorie School, New Era Environmental High School, Alexander Memorial School, Bikram Memorial School, S.D. Tarapuri School, Elite Public High School, Humanity Public School, Playway House, BHMP School, and Lawrence Public School.
Teachers showcased their talent through scintillating dance performances, folk songs, and skits, captivating the audience throughout the event. The annual report of YTS was presented by Mrs. Esther William, Principal of Alexander Memorial School.
In her address, Chief Guest Mrs. Indu Kanwal Chib lauded the efforts of YTS in nurturing young talent and empowering students. She commended the dedication of teachers in guiding children towards excellence and emphasized that such initiatives deserve national recognition.
As a highlight of the event, the prestigious Rolling Trophy, in memory of the late Mrs. Geeta Dixit, was presented by Mr. Ashok Dixit to Mrs. Anku Charak, Vice Principal of Humanity Public School. The Lifetime Achievement Award was conferred upon Mrs. Rajni Gupta (Director, JKMS), Ms. Neeru Puri (Principal, S.D. Tarapuri School), Mrs. Usha Jamwal (Principal, BHMP), and Mrs. Shivani Joshi (Principal, Lawrence School, Sidhra) for their remarkable contributions to the field of education.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Rajni Gupta, Coordinator of Youth Talent Search and Director of JK Montessorie School, followed by the singing of the National Anthem.
