BANDIPORA, Mar 7: District Hospital Bandipora celebrated Jan Aushadhi Diwas with enthusiasm, highlighting the importance of affordable and quality medicines for the public.
The event marked the success of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra, which has been providing low-cost medicines to residents. Locals expressed their gratitude to the administration for making the Kendra functional, ensuring access to essential drugs at reduced prices.
Medical Superintendent DH Bandipora, Dr. Masrat Iqbal Wani, emphasized the benefits of the scheme and urged people to take full advantage of the initiative. He reiterated the government's commitment to making quality healthcare accessible to all, particularly those from economically weaker sections.
The Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana aims to promote the use of generic medicines, making healthcare more affordable while maintaining high standards of quality. The initiative has been widely appreciated for reducing the financial burden on patients.
