FICCI FLO JKL signs MoU with GDC Ramgarh

JAMMU, Mar 7: Strengthening its commitment to empowering young women through education and skill development, FICCI FLO Jammu Kashmir & Ladakh Chapter signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Government Degree College (GDC), Ramgarh. The MoU was signed by Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, Principal of GDC Ramgarh, and Mrs. Ruchika Gupta, Chairperson of FICCI FLO JKL. Also present at the event were Dr. Aditi Khajuria, Associate Professor, GDC Ramgarh, along with FLO JKL representatives Ms. Varuna Anand, Immediate Past Chair, Ms. Aarti Chowdhary, Senior Vice Chairperson, and Ms. Nandita Bajaj, Joint Executive Secretary.
As part of this collaboration, Young Women Affinity Group (YWAG) has been established at GDC Ramgarh, providing a dedicated platform for women students pursuing higher education. This initiative will offer students various opportunities, including participation in knowledge-building sessions, skill-enhancement workshops, industry-oriented training programs, and networking events organized by FICCI FLO JKL.
In addition, the Digital Literacy Program in Financial Awareness, launched in partnership with NIIT Foundation, was introduced during the event. Addressing the students, Mrs. Ruchika Gupta emphasized the importance of financial literacy in today's digital world and how this program will empower students with essential financial management skills as they step into their professional journeys. She highlighted the significance of the certification they will receive upon course completion and encouraged students to make the most of this learning opportunity. Mrs. Gupta also extended her gratitude to Dr. Geetanjali Andotra for her unwavering support in launching this initiative.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Geetanjali Andotra, Principal GDC, Ramgarh expressed appreciation for FICCI FLO JKL's efforts in introducing such impactful programs at the college. She highlighted the importance of equipping students with practical financial knowledge and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting future initiatives that contribute to the holistic development of students.
The comprehensive course content will cover key financial topics, including an introduction to financial concepts, the basics of savings, banking, insurance, financial planning, and mobile banking. To ensure effective learning, the program will be facilitated by Dr. Neeraj Bargotra and Dr. Darpan Malhotra, who have undergone specialized training by NIIT Foundation.
This partnership marks another significant step by FICCI FLO JKL in fostering skill development and financial empowerment among young women, reinforcing its mission to create a brighter future for women in Jammu and Kashmir.
