JAMMU, Mar 8: Sant Mela Singh College of Education, Digiana, celebrated International Women's Day 2025 with a series of engaging activities aimed at promoting inclusivity and empowerment.
The Population Education and Adult & Continuing Education Clubs organized an essay writing competition on the topic "Accelerate Collective Efforts for an Inclusive Environment for Women." The NSS Unit of the college conducted a Quiz and Rangoli competition, where Team C emerged victorious in the Quiz. The Rangoli competition saw enthusiastic participation, with students showcasing creative designs symbolizing a happy, prosperous, and colorful life for women.
Principal Prof. Kiran Luthra, the chief guest, applauded the students for their outstanding performances. The event was organized under the supervision of Prof. Taruna Sharma (NSS Programme Officer) and Prof. Anju Sudan (Convener of Population Education and Adult & Continuing Education Clubs), along with their teams. Winners of various competitions were announced, and sweets were distributed among the students, making the celebration memorable.
