UDHAMPUR, Mar 8: The Senior Citizens Club (SCCU) Udhampur held its weekly meeting and organized a special program to honor its members who recently participated in the 'Maha Kumbh' at Prayagraj and took the holy dip at Triveni Ghat. The honored members shared their firsthand experiences of the arrangements, religious rituals, and the massive gathering of devotees at the event. They described how this grand religious congregation showcased the strength of Indian culture, tolerance, and faith, instilling a sense of pride in every Indian about their traditions. During the meeting, it was emphasized that religious events hold a special significance in Indian culture. Participating in such gatherings not only fills an individual with spiritual energy but also deepens their understanding of social and national responsibilities. On this occasion, it was also decided that the upcoming Holi festival, falling on 14th March 2025, will be celebrated with a special purpose. The club resolved to celebrate Holi this year with the residents of the "Divyang Ashram". The aim of this initiative is to spread the message that the true joy of festivals lies in sharing happiness with everyone. The members of the club expressed that spending time with the specially-abled residents and celebrating the festival of colors with them would be a unique experience, bringing genuine joy and a sense of togetherness into everyone's lives. On the occasion President of the Club said that the Senior Citizens Club (SCCU) Udhampur remains committed to promoting love, unity, and the spirit of service in society, inspiring positive change through such meaningful events.
