JAMMU, Mar 8: The NSS wing, in collaboration with the Women Development Cell, celebrated Women's Day on March 8th with great enthusiasm and fervor under the able guidance of Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of the college. Prof. Kalpana Kesar, retired Principal, was the chief guest of the occasion.
In this prestigious event, 70 students participated, and four spoke on the theme of the day. Prof. Shivani, HOD Music, enthralled the audience with songs dedicated to womanhood. The special guest, Prof. Kalpana Kesar, interacted with the students and helped them understand the true meaning of womanhood. Dr. Shallu Samyal, Principal of the college, addressed the gathering, blessed the students, and encouraged the girls who were felicitated by the Women Development Cell on their achievements in various fields: Ms. Sonai Thakyal in sports, Ms. Muskan Chandan in academics, Ms. Arabia and Ms. Nikharia in poster making, Ms. Shavni in debate, and Ms.Anjali in music. The program concluded with a vote of thanks extended to all dignitaries by Dr. Koushal Kiran, HOD Urdu. The entire program was coordinated by Dr. Geeta Lakhotra, NSS Program Officer. |
