International Women’s Day celebrated across Jammu’s rural Police Stations

Jammu, Mar 8: In Honour of International Women’s Day, police stations across Jammu’s Rural Zone including Domana, Gharota, Kanachak, Akhnoor, Khour, Jhajjar Kotli and Nagrota hosted events to celebrate International Women’s Day.These gatherings saw active participation from female police officers and local women, aiming to raise awareness among women’s regarding the New Criminal Laws, Other initiative taken by JKP for their safety and security and their vital role in society.
The events focused on educating attendees about the Women Help Desks established in all police stations and the 24/7 women’s helpline number 181, ensuring that assistance is readily available. Discussions also covered new criminal laws pertinent to women’s safety and the significance of women’s roles in combating social issues such as drug abuse. Initiatives like ’Pink Patrol’ and ‘SHE Teams’ were highlighted, emphasizing the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s commitment to enhancing women’s security.
In recognition of outstanding service, SP Rural Jammu distributed appreciation letters to female officers who have exhibited exceptional performance in their duties. This gesture underscores the department’s commitment to acknowledging and valuing the contributions of its female personnel.
