| DEO Kishtwar holds meet with political representatives | | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Apr 14- To ensure transparent and incident-free elections in Kishtwar district, the District Election Officer (DEO), Kishtwar, G. R. Bhagat convened a meeting of the representatives of various political parties here today.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions regarding holding of public meetings, installation of party banners and posters, use of vehicles and proper implementation of Model Code of Conduct and Public Property Defacement Rules in the district during the election period were held.
The DEO impressed upon the participants about the legal consequences for the violation and non-compliance of the guidelines of the Election Commission of India.
The representatives of political parties informed the DEO about their demand regarding relocation of some polling stations in the district to facilitate the voters of far-flung areas.
