Jammu , April 14 – Assistant Returning Officer, Gandhi Nagar Assembly segment, Mr. Rajesh Kumar Shavan today convened a meeting of all the Sectoral Officers, Sectoral Magistrates and police officers to review the arrangements for the smooth conduct of Parliamentary Elections in Jammu Lok Sabha seat where polling is being held on April 16, 2009.
The ARO stressed the need for close coordination between civil and police officers to ensure smooth conduct of polling. All arrangements, including despatch of polling parties, observance of ECI’s guidelines, Model Code of Conduct and various allied issues pertaining to election process were discussed in detail.
Zonal Magistrate, Mr. Mohinder Paul Bhagat, Zonal Police Officer Mr. Shyam Lal Sharma, SP South, concerned SDPOs, SHOs and Deputy Commandants of para-military forces were present in the meeting.
