JAMMU, Mar 10: The Career Counselling & Placement Cell of GGM Science College, Jammu, organized an awareness program on IAS as a career option to guide students on civil services and equip them with essential knowledge for the UPSC Civil Services Examination. The event was held under the patronage of Principal Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta and was presided over by Prof. Bal Krishan. The session featured Mr. Shoaib Fareed, MD of Wings Ek Udaan, and Mr. Shubham Sardhania, Director of Sunya IAS, Jammu, as resource persons. Mr. Shoaib Fareed highlighted strategic preparation techniques, focusing on time management, subject selection, and exam patterns. Mr. Shubham Sardhania emphasized the evolving nature of the exam, the role of current affairs, analytical skills, and self-discipline. Principal In-charge Dr. Vandana Khajuria praised the initiative for providing students with career guidance. Dr. Devinder Kumar Sharma, Convener of the Career Counselling & Placement Cell, encouraged students to choose career-oriented subjects based on their interests and aptitude. Over 200 students attended the session, actively engaging in a Q&A session on exam strategies, book recommendations, and motivational insights. The event was graced by Dr. Brinder Kumar, Prof. Kiran Bala, Dr. Nisha, Prof. Arvind Kumar, and Prof. Reetika Rani. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Nisha (HOD Geography).
